Befor you begin to role play here there are a few things that are requested. First off if your going to join in please keep your character rayman 3 style and try to keep with the story line. If you have to leave off a post well leave you idle and you can pick up where you left off, if possible try to leave a leaving post or something so you can pick up later. This is so that me and my fellow fan fic partners can get more inspiration to do rayman role plays and fanfics. We hope to write many for everyone to enjoy and perhaps become inspired themselves. We also ask we dont have a hundred raymans running around and refluxes and what not. A lot of this we may or may not use for our fan fics, so please dont put a charcater in here you dont want us to use. If we end up having a rayman already we will post who plays who.And please make sure you check to see what plays what befor you make a post.

And we also ask that you do not mod.modding, powers that are unrealistic. This is called "Modding" (like moderator)Moderators have more powers than normal users.So it is very unfair to the users who are really working hard on this role play.
Characters. its ok to have more than one char in the role play...but we prefer that if you are going to play a main character that you only have one of those so others have a chance to use them too. If you decide you dont want to play this character anymore again let us know and well make the arrangements. If you cant keep up with your characters its best you ethier kill some off or fix it so you have to play them less.

We have left the role play slot open for most characters to come in immedatly, if you dont see a good time to come in surely wait and i assure you it will come.

Rayman Chronicles
Fanfic based off Rayman 1,2,3
by Bassett Huntress aka Lady Knaaren

Years ago Rayman encountered a dark being by the name of Mr. Dark. Mr. Dark caused much chaos and brought many evil creatures to Rayman's world, two of which was Mr. Skops the scorpion and Bassett the Naytrix. At the time Bassett was young and had just hatched from her egg. Mr. Skops was assigned to train and raise her by Mr. Dark. When the time had come Mr. Skops fought Rayman and as a result he was defeated, after that no one ever saw Skops again. This had enraged Bassett and she made plans to fight Rayman herself and get her revenge. Just before Rayman was going to fight Mr. Dark, Bassett lured Rayman onto a cliff top to fight to the death. At first things were going her way, but just as she was fixing to finish him off Rayman managed to lay a full powered punch right into Bassett's chest crystal and it sent her flying nearly over the edge. With damaged wings and no strength left to fight Rayman she hung on with one paw for dear life, at that moment Rayman could have finished her off then, but instead he helped her up. They stair at each other a moment before Mr. Dark comes down to fight Rayman, at that moment Bassett turns with the little strength she had and escapes. Rayman then took on Mr. Dark and defeats him.

As order returned to Rayman's world after his defeat, Bassett carefully watched Rayman from the shadows and planned for the next time she would be able to attack. A year had passed by now and everyone had nearly forgotten about the past's battles. As things seemed that they would never change, a well known clan of pirates lead by the evil Razor Beard had moved in trying to take over Rayman's world, reduce the planet to dust and take all its inhabitants into slaves. Bassett saw this as a chance to get back at Rayman, so she demanded the pirates to take her to their captain, Razor Beard. She made an alliance with the pirates and tried to help them as much as she could without being discovered, by helping Razor Beard come up with plans to attack Rayman. Again Rayman was defeating his rivals. Bassett didn’t stand for this and tried to fight him along side of Razor Beard and his machine, but just before she could pounce on Rayman when his back was turned, Polokus and Ly combined their powers to open up a Portal in front of her. She was unable to slow down her flying and as soon as she was in Polokus and Ly closed the portal to the Realm of Shadows. This land was full of dark creatures that were banished long ago, the land was swampy and food was hard to find. It always rained in this dark world and the sun rarely shines. Razor Beard was then left on his own to fight Rayman, the two fighting over a pit of lava. Rayman manages to make himself victorious by destroying the machine that Razor Beard was in, and that leaving him to fall into the hot boiling lava. After Razor Beard's defeat the remaining pirates left. After this Rayman of course returned to his home and got some well deserved rest as peace once again returns to his world.
As another year passed by, Bassett was now a full-grown Naytrix. The time she had spent in the lonely swampy lands she perfected her powers she was born with. She had hoped to one-day escape from this prison world, but little did she know that her wish would come to her sooner than she thought.

Bassett snarls as she chases a Dark Lum through the stormy land, she raised her clawed hand to swipe at it and missing by less than a inch.

Bassett: ARGH come back here you little varmint I'm hungry!
Dark Lum: IEEEE IEEE get away from me you filthy Naytrix!
Bassett: Aww come on its not gonna hurt, I'm just going to chomp you !

She gave her wings another hard flap to get more speed going after him. A loud rumble of thunder and flash of lightning struck overhead. The Dark Lum screams as it flies as fast as it can barely dodging Bassett's massive jaws snapping just behind it, when suddenly a bright flash stops them both in their tracks.

Bassett: Huh…? What in the….

Bassett blinks a few times as the flash emits again, she covers her eyes for a second and looks up to see a swirling black portal opening up in front of her. The Dark Lum takes his chance to escape her while her head is turned. Bassett growls seeing her dinner had just got away she turns her attention back to the portal. She scowls as she mumbles under her breath watching it.

Bassett: This better have be worth me loosing my dinner……

A dark voice laughs as a figure slowly steps from the portal. Bassett's eyes grow wide as she recognized the cloaked figure and the voice.

Bassett: N..No! It cannot be you! You're dead!

A bolt of lighting flashes over head lighting the area for a brief moment, the dark figure was visible and it confirmed Bassett's doubts of who he was. A grin spread across the dark ones face.

???: Am I?….I feel very much alive….

He held his hands out to the side as a gust of wind went over them, his large cape blowing in the wind behind him.

???: If you don’t believe I'm alive why don’t you come see for yourself.
Bassett: YOUR DEAD!!!! My mind is messing with me again today! I SAW Rayman destroy you! You fell into the canyon!

Again he smirks as he stairs at her giving his head a shake to the side while crossing his arms.

???: Aye…that I did…but I managed to grab on to a ledge before I reached the bottom…I was too weak to fly up and strike back…so I waited on small ledge until I regained my energy. From there I had been watching you and Rayman, that is how I knew where you were. It took till now for me to regain enough power to open this portal to free you….Now come with me back to the real world and help me destroy Rayman. Or…you can stay here for the rest of your pathetic life. What say you ?

Bassett looked around and shook off a bit of the rain that had collected on her scaly body before giving her wings another flap or two and turned her gaze back to the dark one.

Bassett: ….Alright….but the next time he hits me in the chest with that evil fist of his, I'm gonna charm your arse…

???: What ever…just come on.

Bassett: I MEAN IT!

The dark figure turns disappearing into the portal. Bassett gulps a bit very hesitant as she slowly flies into the portal. When she got close enough it sucks her in, she yells as she spirals down the portals tunnels, swirling walls and many colors. After a moment she found herself back on the cliff where the dark one had been believed to perished. She looked around slowly recognizing the area, a frown on her face as she narrows her eyes. A low rumble of thunder could be heard overhead. She looks up and blinks a few times wandering where the dark one has gone. She looks over the edge of the cliff and sighs.

Bassett: Ah…I must be dreaming…..this cant be real.

???: Oh…but it is very real my dear….

The dark one swoops down and kicks Bassett in the face, sending her flying backwards. She shakes her head looking up to see him floating over her, his dark eyes glaring down. Bassett gulps and starts struggling t o get away and back on her four feet. As she does so she wipes a little blood from her lip, now believing fully that this was no dream, it was as real as real gets.

???: Was that real enough for you dear…

Bassett growls and looks up at him holding her jaw a bit with narrowed eyes.

Bassett: Too real…..

She growls again and shakes her head still trying to get everything through her head that had happened. She stairs up at the dark one swaying her tail side to side slowly.

???: for your first assignment...I want you to go to the knaaren caves ...and get...some followers....

He said to her with a grin and spun his cape around dissapearing.

Bassett gulped as she lowered her ears and swayed her head side to side her horn wishing in the air a bit.
Her ears sprung up suddenly as she thought for a moment. She knew a knaaren by the name of Lady Knaaren...but finding her would be the hard part since gumsi exhiled her for treason years ago. Perphas she lived with her sister in the swamps of Knaaren. She gulped again and looked around only the soft wind could be heard and she looked up at the dark clouds. A sudden loud boom of thunder was heard and a dark voice along with it yelling at her.

???: GET GOING!!

Bassett: EEP !

That didnt have to be said twice, she got moving quickly on her way. Her little wings flapped franticly as she flew past the Thunder cliffs.

Onyxia happened to be watching all of this through her crystal ball. Her eyes narrowed. She didn't like newcomers on her swamp, especially the kind with over-the-head ego bosses. Her wings and tail moved slightly as she stepped out of her cave, watching the sky.

:: she flaps her wings as she flutters quickly through the terrain makein her way to the first obstacle...the knaaren swamps. She was very small compared to the knaaren...and wasnt up to being squished like a bug. She lands on a mushroom looking over the area at the strange erie clouds moving over head as it seemed a approaching storm was comeing. This wasnt good...she was small and most likely wouldnt be able to handle the winds here. shed end up like a ping pong ball with wings.

Phoenixan walked through the halls within one of the towers in the Fire Realm. He entered a small dark room, which only had a rug in the center of the floor, nothing else. The stone walls and ceiling were bare. The room was bathed in a dim red light, even though there seemed to be no light source. The door closed behind Phoenixan after he entered. He then walked on the rug and knelt down. He then chanted a few words... The stone walls and ceiling seemed to just crumble away, revealing a dark world full of fire and shadow...

Phoenixan~ *The time has come... Rayman shall fall.*

An emotionless dark voice replied... "Yes, it has... You must travel to the Knaaren Desert... I will tell you more later..."

Phoenixan closed his eyes. When he reopened them, the stone walls and ceiling were there again. There were no markings or anything to show that they were damaged... One of Phoenixan's soldiers opened the door.

Soldier~ "What does the shadowed one say?"

Phoenixan~ *Prepare the armies to leave for the Knaaren Desert...*

:: she snarled and fussed as she whiped her tail about, her little wings flapping heavily as she moved to a diffrent mushroom. She sat there and thought for a minute.

....it couldnt hurt if i stopped at my old home...first could it..? ..i so miss the cave of scops....i wander if its even still up.. :she let out a sigh and lowered her head.

It was silent for a moment and a sudden gust of wind blew past her. Her eyes grew wide as she was about blown off the mushroom, her little claws grip into it as she looked up and a loud boom of thunder echoed over head. She yelped as she flapped her wings heavily struggleing against the wind. She tried to make her way to away from the swamps, she knew her boss would kill her...but she had to find shelter and it was the perfect excuse to head to the caves... The storm quickly grew worse as she fought against the wind. Eventually she was forced to land. crawling on all fours and in the darkness she highly resembled Mr. Skops her long scorpion like tail curles in a C shape over her as it sways back and forth slowly. She was a long ways away from the Cave of Skops. But that didnt stop her from crawling her way too it.

Several hours had passed and the storm was still pretty bad, the wind had picked up to the point where it nearly blew poor bassett off her little feet. she pants as she looks up seeing the entrance to the Cave of Skops, old memories flashed through her mind as she crawled in. Not a moment or two later after she went in it started to pour down rain and lighitng became more violent. She knew the cave of Skops always flooded when it rained heavily..but this was her home...she could swim better than skops every could. She took in a deep breath then opened her mouth as a frosty blue glow came from it and made a swish sound as it moved over the water freezing the top solid into ice. She grinned and jumped on the ice sliding across her little claws scratching a bit as she controled how fast she slid. She then jumped up on the wall climbing until she reached her favorite ledge where she used to sit and watched the storms outside through a moss covered hole, water dripped down running through the open hole. She lowered her head listening to the echoing sound of the water falls starting to pour within the caves and the rain, thunder ,and wind outside. She sighs as her tail curles around her little feet wishing her old friends were still here....rayman had wiped them all out but her..

Phoenixan gathered up his troops and began there trek toward the Knaaren Desert. They'd have to travel across swamps, grassland and water in order to get there. Some soldiers marched on foot as Phoenixan and some others rode on the backs of 4-footed animals. If Phoenixan needed them, there was an air force waiting for commands.

What will I meet in the Knaaren Desert that is of importance to the shadowed one's plans?

:: in the mean time Lady Knaaren sat in the knaaren caves tapping her claws on her chair bored. She looked up watching acational other knaaren walk by and talking about stupid random things:: Soon she grew tired of sitting there as she shifts her cloak and turns walking slowly to one of the tunnels looking out towards the knaaren desert. nothing but sand was visible for miles, her narrowed eyes indicated she was quite agitated. she wanted to do something...or some action other than the boys beating the snot out of intruders...and Reflux the show off....however...reflux was more intresting than the rest of them....and gumis the loud mouth bugged her if she didnt tape his mouth shut one of these days he would drive her insane.

It was very stormy as they traveled. Rain fell down hard... Phoenixan didn't like rain, water weakened him. Even though he felt slightly dizzy and ill, he and his soldiers continued on toward the desert. They were almost through the swamps. Afterwards, they'd take the long way 'round the lakes within the Land of the Livid Dead.

:: she shakes her head a bit as she over head a few knaarens saying something weird as usall , she turned around to follow them just to annoy them. They didnt even seem to notice her because they were too busy talking to one another. With that plan gone she decided to pull up her hood and go outside towards the swamps. Perhaps her sister had something new to boast about.

Phoenixan came across something unexpected in the swamps... An entrance to tunnels underground. There were small statues of Knaaren around the entrance. Phoenixan decided to check it out. He and his soldiers entered through, prepared to fight any enemies if they encountered them...

:: she growled as she looked around and moved a knaaren statue, she made sure no one was looking as she pulled it back in place. She was now in a dark damp tunnel that was underneath the sands. She looked around her yellow eyes glowing bright as she moved through the dimly lit tunnel. Her claws could be heard as they made a soft pit pat sound while she walked: she didnt expect anyone to be in the tunnels...

Meanwhile..

:: the storm still raged heavily outside as bassett watched more water pouring in. Shed have too move soon due to the rising waters. But it wouldnt be a problem she was raised from a hatchling here and knew it like the back of her hand. She sighs again as she hops up flicking her tail into a C shape and hopped from rock to rock. She would head to where she used to nest, just being here about made her break down she really missed Mr. Scops and all the little dark minions that she befriended back in the days of mr dark. Just seeing Mr. dark back made her shudder...she hoped he wouldnt try to kill her for going back instead of forward.

Phoenixan heard someone coming down the tunnels! With a hand signal, Phoenixan gave the command for his soldiers to stand against the walls, silent, ready to fight if necessary. Phoenixan stood in the middle of the tunnels, crouching down... His glowing red eyes narrowed as he looked down the tunnels...

:: she let out a light growl as she continued to walk down the tunnles not even realising any of them where there. as they were crouched against the sides. She yawns as she her cloak could be heard shifting as she walked as well. She stopped to listen as she thought she heard something.

:: she got to the nest, it was still there but half messed up due to wear and tear over the years. She sighs as she nudges the hay and other nesting stuff back into a neat round circle, the water never reached up to the nest since it was so high and was always warm. She flopped in the middle of it curleing in a ball as she closed her eyes and drifted to sleep. It didnt take long for her to start dreaming. She began to dream back when she was a little hatchling and first met Mr Skops.

:: She could hear faint voices outside of her eggshell as she shifted a bit over the sound of her heartbeat.

Mr Dark: Skops...i want you to take this little egg and raise the creature......make her strong...i will be back to see how my Naytrix is doing in a few months...

He set the egg down infront of the giant scorpion as he only let out a low growl and frowned. He didnt like being demanded by anyone and he didnt like Mr Dark much. Mr darks cape fluttered as his image flickers and dissapears. At that moment cracks started to form on the little Dark Blue egg shell and not long a little foot poked out.. then a little head, she shook her head as she looked up to see Mr Skops as her first. Her vision at first was blurry but quickly cleared. She let out a soft meep as she flopped over on her belly, she still had the egg over most of her . Mr Skops rolled his eyes and raised a claw about to smash her and ignore Mr Darks orders. She then meeped and her tail cracked loose from the egg, it was much like mr Skops. a scorpion tail. She closed one eye and looked at her a little more closley as her two wings popped out leaving the egg shell over her midd section. she crawled over slowly to one of Mr Skops feet and nuzzled her tiney head against it meeping again. He narrowed his eyes seeing she was too cute to squish, he looked around to the left then to the right and behind him then carefully picked her up with his claw takeing her into the cave. she watched and remebered the surroundings as he easily leaped from rock to rock until he reached the highest point hidden deep within the caves. he set her down on a rock as he shoffles his nest a bit and let her sleep there. She yawned as she looked up at him twitching her little tail a bit. he watched her a minute befor the turned crawling down the side t oget her some food.

Her sleep was rudley awakened as she felt a sharp pain and her body move. ??? was standing over her as he had given her a swift kick to the side.

???: I THOUGHT i told you to get to the knaaren swamps!!!!!

Her eyes widen when she saw that it was her boss, she hung on the side of the nest as she crawled back up nearly falling.

I CANT!!! the wind is too strong for me out there.. the storm would of blown me to oblivan!!!!

??? : ...i promise you if you give me trouble and mess up my plans i will put you back where i found you !!!! as soon as the storm blows over you go to the swamps if you fail to do so again you will not like your punishment.

She gulped as he turned dissapearing again, she lowered cureling into a ball and watching him as he lifted his cape and spun a bit dissapearing. With that she quickly made her way to the caves front waiting for the storm to die down. testing her boss was not a wise thing to do.

She continued to stay outside her cave. The wind meant nothing to her since she was able to control various wind gusts as they came her way. Her wings fluttered in the air and her tail moved from side to side in boredom. Sniffing the air she couldn't tell if anything new had entered the swamp, but she was still on her guard. Waiting for her sister to get back, the slow-poke.

Phoenixan and his soldiers stood still and waited. That last thing they wanted to meet right now was Knaaren. It was rumored they were invincible, even though they weren't.

All the while, a strange, black-cloaked figure flew about over head, staying behind cover and peering out from a pair of glowing yellow eyes through a set of binoculars at the goings on, making sure to keep out of sight.

"No..." he mumbled to himself "...he -can't- be back...can he?"

The black garbed, black-hatted creature was somewhat troubled...using his apparently dead Master's name as a rallying of others to his cause to continue his dastardly work was one thing...but he had no desire to be a mere pawn again, not now that he knew what power felt like.

Raijinn sat upon his throne on a large platform in the Shadow Temple within the Shadow Realm. Black Water ran out of the mouths of statues inside the walls into a moat off the side of the platform, the stop of the chamber looked as if it was endless. The stone floor of the platform was ingraved with the symbol of shadows.

"There is nothing to do."

Raijinn crushed a skull that lie in his hand.

"Ever..."

Lady Knaaren growled as she figured it was probebly just some small critter moveing around in the caves, a rat most likely. She grunts a bit and continues walking on her way not realising they where there as she headed her way into the swamps.

Bassett sighs as the storm seemed like it was going to never end. She swayed her tail slowly as she sniffed the air a bit and folded her wings back against her. She shook her head as she felt the soft myst of rain brush against her as the wind blew it into the caves

Spotting the cave and seeing no sign of his former master, the cloaked creature floats down to have a closer look, having sworn he had heard something from inside. Landing, he wrapped the cloak tightly around him, taking some steps into the cave on pointed feet, his eyes somewhat visible under the wide hat as he spots a dragon like creature, and grinned slightly.

"Well well well...so the Naytrix lives also..."
